  • I loved this book! Along with being very informative, it was a lovely little read about an important part of Australian history. I definitely recommend this book.

  • A beautifully presented book with pages that open out to create a double page spread. Additional information at the end - was stunned that the train was running so recently. Had never really appreciated exactly what the isolation of the Outback meant to everyday life.

  • I was fascinated by this book and was thinking about the Canadian pioneers who would have been living under similar conditions and awaiting the supply trains.

  • This book includes both a kids' story and a few pages of facts and photos on the history of the train bringing goods to those settled along the tracks. There are also beautiful illustrations.
